I’ll start tomorrow

So, do you start and stop your love for your family? Do you press pause on your commitments when you’re busy or overwhelmed? Do you say “tomorrow I’ll start being a better person, I don’t have time today?”

I bet you don’t. So why constantly start and stop taking care of yourself? Pressing pause on healthy habits, and telling yourself “tomorrow I’ll take the time to eat better.”

We are getting older. Our bodies do not regenerate and recover from abuse like they did when we were twenty, our metabolisms are slower, we can’t afford to take “time off” or “start tomorrow.” It’s a fact of life.

Perhaps part of “adulting” is becoming wiser, building up the experience of learning, failing, and finally realizing time is not something we “have.” Embracing our responsibility to ourselves and our loved ones.

Self love and self respect revolve around healthy habits. It looks like taking the time for walks outside, meeting with friends, choosing foods that nourish, reading favorite books, moving your body, getting adequate sleep.

Do you love yourself as you’d like to see your kids love themselves? I bet you’ve got some work to do.
